My goal is not to take over your project for you or force everyone in a conflict to agree on everything.
Rather, it’s my aim to support you in communicating with one another, identifying root causes of the problems you’re facing, and turning your great ideas into achievable, rational goals that everyone involved can commit to.
My Mediation Style
When mediating conflicts, I use a values-based approach—meaning that I support those engaged in conflict to get grounded and stay grounded in the values that drive their behaviors and decisions as we work towards repair.
My mediation model is informed by restorative justice, community-based system dynamics, evidence-based behavioral health models, and cooperative play.
As someone with expertise in program management, with teams I see my role as extending beyond the “iceberg” of interpersonal conflicts and into the depths of agenda-setting, group decision making, and structural analysis.
And as someone with a rich history in queer culture and community, I am committed to showing up with boldness for facing conflicts head-on and being real with each other as a form of respect and love.
